Celebrating Abilities Day at RCC Redwood Campus
May 17th from 10 am - 1 pm
All Students, Faculty, Staff and Community Members
are invited to join in!!!
Some of the activities in and around the RWC Student Center include:
- Blind Trust Walks
- Wheelchair Obstacle Course (Start at fountain behind the Cafeteria)
- Sharing Wall
- Information Tables by Community Partners:
Job Council, Commission for the Blind, Vocational Rehabilitation, Goodwill Services, HASL, and more. - Dogs for the Deaf Presentation ad Demonstration from 12 pm - 1 pm
- Pizza and a celebration cake at noon.
Celebrating Differing Abilities is.....
- To develop an awareness and acceptance for those of all abilities
- To promote a greater understanding of issues surrounding individuals with a disability.
- To encourange the focus on the individual, not the disability.
- To foster an understanding of the ways to improve access for all people.
