The Fire Science curriculum is scheduled so that
a student can begin the program at any time and complete the Associate of
Applied Science degree in two years. The two-year completion goal assumes
that the student will attend full-time, and that (s)he will attend the courses
that are recommended by a Fire Science program advisor. This two-year goal
also assumes that the student's placement test scores are high enough to earn
a"program-ready" status. If students must first take
developmental courses to achieve the program-ready status, the two-year
completion goal may be a few terms longer than expected. A Fire Science
program advisor can help determine the overall plan.

On July 18, 2002, the Fire Science program
coordinators met with the Rogue Interagency Training Association (RITA) and
established the following priorities for delivering courses:
